Dear friends and family,
I will be taking part in a life-changing program next year and I would like to invite you to help support me in this adventure.
Beginning in August of 2007, I will be participating in the Honor Academy, a program sponsored by Teen Mania Ministries, a youth missions organization. This 12-month internship will cultivate a desire and ability to lead with honor and integrity and will continue to build a framework of righteous character in me. It will also teach me to know the compassion of Jesus Christ for the people of the world and to find the most strategic path of ministry and service for my life. During this year, I will be working with Teen Mania Ministries in their various ministries to North American youth, such as their "Acquire the Fire" youth conventions, events that help thousands of young people make good choices that will affect them for a lifetime. Teen Mania also sends literally thousands of youth on mission trips to impoverished nations throughout the world each summer.
During my year at the Honor Academy, I will be a missionary to the young people of America, helping with Acquire the Fire events and Teen Mania mission trips. The cost of the program is $650 per month, or $7800 total. This includes food, housing, utilities, books, training, retreats and road expenses for Teen Mania related activities. I will also need finances for various personal expenses.
I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider supporting me in prayer and financially as I begin my year at the Honor Academy. Your support, especially in prayer, is a key part of seeing lives changed during my year the the Honor Academy.
